Maker and inventor of many wonderful things! I stream my work at twitch.tv/InventorEvan

New toy just arrived! I'm back on stream this afternoon after a few weeks away. To start getting ready for the new year, I'm going to be tidying up the shop and installing this new drill press!

I've still got terrible laryngitis, but it's time to get rolling for 2025 anyway. Come join me at https://buff.ly/4jaJCJZ !

Yesterday I finished prototype 3.0 of the holiday light spooling system -- I think this is getting close to the final design. Today on stream I'll be making the tweaks for the next iteration. #makersgonnamake #invention #woodworking #cnc

Another 250 pounds of plywood and other sheet goods delivered today, to be used in making my latest product. Back into the shop now!

You ever have one of those days when it feels like not a single tool in your shop is squared properly so every single cut or plane comes out slightly off? That was my day yesterday - the "quick job" to finish the dice tower that was supposed to take an hour or two took over 14.
So this sucked -- at 2am I had a big spill of my finishing oil. All over my CNC router table! Fortunately I had a sacrificial piece of hardboard down and the spill was manageable. But it was still a royal pain to clean up when it was late and I was exhausted.
Had a lovely stream this morning with a large audience -- my first participation in a raid train. I was learning "shuttle tatting", a kind of lace-making, as part of the International Tatting Day celebration led by http://twitch.tv/TheTravelingTatter

Prototype 7 of the rigging system desk clamp came out GREAT this morning. And with that I can declare all the models for the free version of the rigging system DONE. I just need to finish writing the assembly instructions and I can publish it.

Keep your eyes on this space, Printables, and Thangs 3D for the published version!
