The changes in this year's anyAppleOS are interesting. If you discount the AI features it almost sounds like they asked each team "what has been bothering you for years and you've never found the time to fix/improve?"
That's how you end up with things like Ethernet status in menu bar on macOS, DRM video playback in iPhone Mirroring, and Improved unread badge accuracy in Mail.
@mattiem @nutsmuggler They publicly fought such laws in the US for more than a decade. Because it's possible. China is irrelevant because not a democracy.
I only take issue with saying "Apple had no issue complying with China therefore they should comply with EU demands as well" - The fact that there's a back-and-forth between Apple and EU that we can all witness is something that should be celebrated. Politicians aren't perfect (encryption laws as example) and neither are companies.
