#trump approval ratings are way too high. The fact that 1/3rd of US citizens still think he is great is more than a tragedy, it's the US ship sinking. Judging by this, a more competent authoritarian would be able to win 2 terms easily, as long as inflation is kept low.

The takeaway is that the #USA cannot be trusted any more. Not with our safety, not with our data, not with our freedom.

Africa has definitely suffered the harm of imperialism and colonialism in all its forms, but the western attitude of giving Africans eternal victimhood status is dangerous. Opportunistic African leaders exploit this victimhood to the point where the victims feel they can only be victims.

This xenophobic movement in #SouthAfrica is even worse than #maga , and it needs to be pointed out. Giving victims a free pass or staying out of it just makes things worse. #Israel also abuses victimhood.
