#AbolishBillionaires I've seen here that the idea of abolishing billionaires entirely is not just my crazy idea, so maybe a bit of background.

I am neither a communist nor a socialist nor religiously committed to #capitalism . I don't think capitalism as such is the problem. However:

Nobody should possess a billion dollars. It is bad for everyone, including those who have it. My proposal is a progressive wealth windfall payment after $500 million, such that $1 billion is impossible to reach.

I used to idolize these guys. Google was a true modern marvel. And now they are just trashy power hungry billionaires who don't care about anyone around them. 5% is nothing. What is the percentage of your net worth to your income tax every year?

The best part of this video is watching the stock market go down and the treasury yields go up in real time while the dude is talking.

It reminds me of that Futurama where Fry crashes the Planet Express stock in real time.

It's simpler to defeat #iran and #russia than anyone would think. Just move away from #fossilfuel .

The war against #climatechange is the one we should be fighting. Imagine just a few days of war money going toward research grants for renewables.

So many officials tell themselves that they can fix things from the inside, but become corrupted by remaining there.

It was Nelson Mandela's biggest mistake to remain silent and loyal when members of his own party were robbing the people.

Loyalty is good, but it matters to what and who you are loyal. This kind of resignation is the right thing to do. You can't fix it from the inside.
