@seanfyodorovich Health issues after having flu/covid in 2022. It just takes a lot more out of me to work on stuff and just don't have the energy and so I mostly just go to work and sleep a lot of days. Coming home to make videos and do a lot of research just takes too much out of me. Had surgery last year which cleared up some of the pain problems, but been other stuff.
Loading up x11 for the first time since 2018 and good god like the mouse lags during full screen video playback, it is not screen tearing, but just lots of microstutter. This is using a 1060 so idk maybe Nvidia is just bad. But back when i had to jump back and forth for certain games in 2017 i recall alt tabing just worked so much better in wayland land.
Not possible yet, but with reverse HTTP could possibly run a whole reverse proxy using socket activation. Though not sure how that would work if the sockets are only activated later, but manually starting them all could mean running haproxy without any actual networking just sockets. Systemd is so cool wish other stuff integrated more with it.
@KuudereKun Talking about Internet Protocol Version 4, not IP as in Intellectual Property which idk maybe if we didn't have that existing what protocols we use might have turned out differently who knows.
I will support whatever economic system manages to get universal support for unnumbered interfaces for ipv4, if i ever have to assign another /31 to a p2p connection I am going to give up on Tech. All devices should have 1 single IP, none of this IP per interface crap.

@SwiftOnSecurity

I for one trust Microsoft and just push everything to everything instantly plus all our important users(me) run Fedora and are unimpacted

@GossiTheDog I really don't like the phone method of it. At work we are just giving everyone Yubikeys the only thing holding us back is auth for apps on Android. This is such an issue we have actually talked about having to push iPhones
@thephd I started statically settings types in powershell and it was amazing for not having weird errors. One of a few reasons I really like it, but I write a fair amount of python at work and the no types really bites me in the butt somewhat often

@briankrebs all applications have to share their documentation not behind a paywall. Everything has to support SAML/OIDC/Kerberos and no more of this "well we support radius you can try to do MFA through that, but also only password based so no smartcards"

My boss can't give other people in management bypasses for MFA, or local admin. Constantly cleaning that stuff up.

@timbray big issue is once every few days I'm dealing with some Microsoft application that needs azure admin but lacks support for passkeys because it is still using an older login method. Even the stuff for globalsecure access Microsoft's VPN thing can't be installed via a passkey only account. Some you can force to use the device path for login and copy a code to the desktop where you can use passkeys. Still awful
