Front-end-turned-a-bit-of-everything Web developer based in the North East of England.

I run my own small business and have opinions about accessible recruitment practices.

You can also find me at @jonspark, but this account will be more work-focussed.

The devs already have their Rubber Ducks. Today, I introduce them to the power of the Thinking Apple 🍎.

Where a duck can help you with the problems of the past and present, the Thinking Apple helps you to avoid the problems of the future. 🤔

I had a great time chatting with Róisín, the engagement specialist at Sunderland Software City, about all things social media.

She kindly came and gave a social media talk to our cohort and I mentioned the Fediverse. Today was a big intro and I gave her a brief run down on most(!) of the apps around.

Go see @bilbobodybaggins (great screen name) and say hello!

We had a great visit to the Immersive Lab at Proto with the Sunderland Software City Tech Talent Pro team.

I just to say missed the whole Nodecopter thing, years back, but if I ever imagined a place to hold an event, it would be this. It would be really cool to hook into the motion sensing cameras to do something with swarms... even just getting them to not-crash!

Another #introduction as I shard myself around the Fediverse. I'm Jon, a front-end-turned-a-bit-of-everything #WebDeveloper based in #NorthEastEngland You may have followed me at @jonspark

I’ve tried to run micro-agencies but I’m happy being a freelancer, though I still have a few opinions about #accessiblity in recruitment. I like #NodeJS, I’m learning #SvelteJS, and still spend some time in #PHP and #Laravel, when asked.

I’m currently #mentoring a team of 10 in Sunderland.

Had a great morning at Sunderland Software City this morning introducing our junior dev team to the development lifecycle. Started out with a scoping exercise for an e-commerce site and supporting tools.

A lot of good discussion going on, some great questions, and I’m looking forward to more cross-team work!
