The worst part is the ICE raids, troop deployment, and abject cruelty are a distraction so R senators can gut Social Security, Medicare, and social programs to give billionaires & corps another tax break. Get used to calling your reps and senators while protesting, we have to start multitasking too.

When someone is petty and unserious about serious matters, the correct response is to be serious about serious matters. You can tell them they’re being confidently incorrect without engaging further; not all arguments are worth having. The pettiness is a distraction and if you want to make every day a masterpiece you must put first things first.
@mttaggart @tychotithonus I know it’ll be years before we can get a hot fix, let alone a proper update since we can’t get everyone to agree that this is a critical CVE based on a valid CWE (and, y’know, amendments are really slow)… any chance NIST or MITRE can recommend some mitigations in the meantime, or was their budget for that already cut?

@carnage4life I’m certainly open to being wrong on this but I think issue is the disingenuous starting point for perceived persecution of white people. Without a disproportionate platform for bad faith arguments, I think a lot of the manufactured outrage never takes hold. It takes some serious mental gymnastics to turn “we’re not discriminating against people anymore” into “they’re discriminating against me because they stopped discriminating against everyone else”, but if you have all the air time and pundits you could wish for you can beat that drum until enough people start to agree.
