Busy trolling MAGA on Twitter, brb
Anyone else looking forward to falling way behind on news while at #WildWestHackinFest ?
The worst part is the ICE raids, troop deployment, and abject cruelty are a distraction so R senators can gut Social Security, Medicare, and social programs to give billionaires & corps another tax break. Get used to calling your reps and senators while protesting, we have to start multitasking too.
A statesman thinks in decades. A coward thinks in polling cycles.
When someone is petty and unserious about serious matters, the correct response is to be serious about serious matters. You can tell them they’re being confidently incorrect without engaging further; not all arguments are worth having. The pettiness is a distraction and if you want to make every day a masterpiece you must put first things first.
Few events demand that you become the security leader your team needs like watching a good manager vote with their feet over office politics. It’s already hard to find good security professionals that can lead and manage, don’t push them away by letting tech executives smother them.

“Why aren’t Republican representatives doing anything about all these ridiculous scandals and disasters?”

Because they think you’re too ignorant, distracted, or gullible to hold them accountable by voting for someone else.

The concept of the American Dream has become so corrupted and bastardized that we have started to believe nothing should stand in the way of increasing our individual wealth and power. Some of the most ruthless and successful titans of industry in history supported progressive income taxes and wealth taxes, and even the robber barons knew that “the self-made man” is a myth. Great fortunes and great power are social in origin—and should be social in impact.

In re: Abrego-Garcia, the 4th circuit's unanimous decision denying the government's appeal and request for writ of mandamus was written by Wilkinson, a Reagan appointed judge, and recognizes the reality of the Trump administration's lawlessness.

"The government is asserting a right to stash away residents of this country in foreign prisons without the semblance of due process that is the foundation of our constitutional order."

"Court rulings are not above criticism...('Criticism need not be stilled. Active obstruction or defiance is barred.')"

"We yet cling to the hope that it is not naïve to believe our good brethren in the Executive Branch perceive the rule of law as vital to the American ethos. This case presents their unique chance to vindicate that value and to summon the best that is within us while there is still time."

Read the decision for yourself. https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25900477/25-1404-ruling.pdf

Big Balls having been employed by a company that hires convicted cybercriminals isn’t the issue. Big Balls owning business that market to Russians isn’t the issue. Big Balls having - and apparently being proud of? - the nickname “Big Balls” isn’t the problem. The problem is that someone with access to sensitive government information systems hasn’t been vetted for their potential susceptibility to blackmail, coercion, or manipulation. Don’t get distracted by salacious details.
