@weston @marcoarment If only Garmin fixed their software, I’d just pair my Fenix 7X Solar to my Samsung S23+ (and maybe upgrade to S25 series first). However, even though I like a lot of things about that Garmin, phone call notifications are too badly broken right now for me to use it solely.

I was about to mention that same ATP episode, but luckily it was already taken care of. As a side note, someone actually pointed out that Microsoft execs weren’t there even though they were most likely invited. If they refused to go, that’s a huge plus for Microsoft in my books. Needless to say, I’m absolutely disappointed with Cook being there.

@gruber I fully agree with X being a stupid name. Musk took an iconic, distinctive brand name that had also become a verb and replaced it more or less an ambiguous variable, out of which you can’t really derive any useful non-awkward verbs or nouns. Such a waste.

@androidfaithful @queencodemonkey I can confirm the OneUI 6.0 European rollout, my S23+ has been running it since Monday in Finland. When I saw the news that it's rolling out, I thought I'd spend the next couple of weeks or so checking for updates. Turned out it was there on the first attempt. If this is the new normal, I do like it 🙂

I can confirm that @caseyliss was right when correcting @marcoarment about iMessage’s share. Here in Europe Android has too much marketshare for an Apple-exclusive messaging club to fly anywhere. It’s WhatsApp and Telegram where especially group messaging happens. I just checked and I had to scroll to the 17th most recent thread to discover an actual iMessage there, mostly it’s just marketing and 2FA SMS that arrive in the Messages app.
