Like, whoever came up with the lore for kobold reproduction didn't really appreciate exponential growth XD
So my thought is that any wise, intelligent dragon takes a look at this and realizes that if kobolds are managing to even survive right now, any force multiplier of kobold magical or technological advancement means that Toril is KoboldWorld within a few decades.
@Maverynthia One of my headcanons for Forgotten Realms (D&D) kobolds is that they are actually the result of a supersoldier experiment that the dragons are terrified of getting out of hand because it turns out that thousands of little bastards armed with spite and magic and traps who can subsist on dirt and rocks and breed fast enough to make a rabbit blush will absolutely wipe the floor with high maintenance big badasses.
