#WordWeavers 22. Is there a subject that’s represented poorly in media that you’d like to cover in your work?

relationships. i'm not in the majority with this but i hate reading about toxic relationships, or characters who are always arguing with each other and throwing tantrums. i understand why writers do this, but you don't have to reach for every possible conflict in a story if your other conflicts are sufficiently interesting.

i don't think it's realistic for relationships to be conflict-free, but people in healthy relationships generally manage to handle their disagreements without constant yelling, or destructive behaviour.

i decided to retire my Aeon Flux avatar, because even though i adore that cartoon, mercenary Aeon was too incompatible with the values that would come through in everything i posted. so there would be this awkward mismatch. now i'm back to Umbreon, the adorable bastard pokemon who defeats showy god-tier enemies with evasion and cleverness. (also poison. lots of poison.)

I’ve got one trickster cat (the tabby) who randomly claws and bites for no reason, and one angelic cat (the tortie) who snuggles up and purrs at all times. This is all well and good during the day when I can tell’em apart, but at night when a cat crawls on me in the dark, I never know what fate awaits. It’s like some kind of addled Greek myth, where the cat gods are meting out punishment or reward, and I, the unsuspecting mortal, will either suffer or prosper according to their whim.
