Giving Fedora KDE a try 🥳.

Also trying out full disk encryption for the first time 🤩.

There is no regional mirror for Fedora in my country 😩. So package installs are little slow. But that's fine 😃. I can live with it.

One thing that bothered me is that I had to enable Fedora remix repo and install full version of ffmpeg to play vidoes 🥺. But it's fine. I can search the internet 😊.

I installed KDE today 😊. I'm planning to use KDE and only KDE apps (except for Firefox) at least for a week.

(I installed every KDE app available on archlinux, [plasma, kde-applications] groups)

That means sorry neovim 😢. Kate is my text editor/IDE for the next week 🥳. I'm already liking the vi implementation of KDE inside Kate and KWrite 😉.

Yes it takes a little more resource than Gnome 😩 (Which I was using for a month or so). But I'm OK with it 😃.

I'm so excited 🤠.

Gnome's News Feed reader (Newsflash) has a really nice interface 👌.

Shows everything I need. Can run as background app, also shows notification for new articles.

PS: It has vi like key bindings (sort of) 😁 .

Why are Chrome, Microsoft Word and Photoshop mentioned as programs you run on a computer here 🤔?

MS word and Photoshop (🤢) doesn't even work on Linux without specialized software like Wine.

This website is about Linux 🐧. They could've included programs like Firefox, Libreoffice and GIMP.
