I'm keen to put together a panel for #ica23 in the @ica_cm division looking at the issue of developing and supporting essential research infrastructures, specifically how to recruit, support and sustain teams of data/software engineers and developers within comms/media schools & faculties, and how we mature as a discipline in developing this critical workforce. A little more on the use of alternative versions of visual content (inspired by https://github.com/lrossi79/alteRnative ) . A recent article (https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/1472586X.2023.2215223) explores the visual aspect of climate activism that seeks visibility by defacing art and monuments. Do we need the "real" images to make the point?
