Added two new features to the #hisyeo CAT tool: splitting and fast travel

A handy chart to navigate the usage of content words in Hîsyêô
@anna @jopa there is a room that is very quiet but it would be really cool to actually run a conlang matrix server.
@anna Creating a copula is always hard because copulative frames are at the core of how we relate to the world! Maybe this will help: zero linguistic concepts are actual innate facts about language, it's all made up. Even if we acknowledge that it's all transcendent information that helps us navigate the forms of language without knowing things truly, most of it only applies to one language family and starts to fall apart when you look wider. Try to think higher level "how do I want the people who speak this language to organize ideas?" and then pick all the grammar based around that core conceptual model.
@ernestowg @imthehumanoid @linguistics neat! Thanks for the added detail on stem preservation. Splinters, blends, and clipped compounds, oh my! 🤩
Development of the ligature-heavy version of Hisyakui has been paused because it's so much work (956 unique glyphs altogether) and FontForge is such a royal pain. In the mean time, trying to see if I can get away with two GPOS base-to-mark lookups. I've already had to split the top anchor into top-mid and top-left and I may need to add some additional variations on the diacritics but it all currently fits in one screen!
@imthehumanoid @linguistics it's called a "lexicalized compound" and the process is called "lexicalization". Although if parts of the word are being ommitted in the final result, then it's called "apocopation".
@imthehumanoid the hard part would be how. After 20 some years, not much has changed so you'd need to just make some assumptions that the "minimalist" culture disappears and then what remains? Even if you assume there's an undercurrent of "quirky" or "counter-culture" culture, those kinds of sub-cultures tend to evolve in less naturalistic-looking ways.
The age old tradition of the Lord's Prayer translation:

noî motûo nûs xe niwos sêmoî
li kôdus û somo nîmû,
kûôcyo nîmû kûu li gô,
û fôlun nîmû kûu li mûlû
hoî nucoto misli fos hoî sêmoî.
kûu cûdo mût nûs ê bîek lono ûn
kûu yûnlôn nûs til foût nûs,
misli fos nûs yûnlôn umo xe li êo foût dên nûs
kûu yundôû yôk nûs mût dênêmêk kon fôlun
lêkin kûu cûfo nûs sûn nîecni.
@imthehumanoid maybe your brain subconsciously wants you to still do the big idea and won't let you start a new one until you try.
