Conlanging brings out the worst of the worst in me when it comes to the urge to be different for the sake of it.

SVO or SOV? Nah. VOS at minimum, or even better, getting rid of verbs entirely and creating a language that only ever describes states of things supported by a bunch of obscure cases. "A dog bit the men" becomes "The past man's dog bitemark."

Do I have to accept I'm a... hipster?

I wanted to begin working on a new translation project for the Ru̇u̇ťalis language, so after much deliberation, I chose to translate one of my favourite stories: White Nights by Fyodor #Dostoevsky.
