I'm happy with my current knowledge and noting system, based on the Zettelkasten method [1]. I use org-roam [2] and my trusty #emacs when sitting at a desk, and #obsidian when I'm outside with my phone. I don't pay for Obsidian Sync BTW. I literally sync my notes directly to my remote repository via `git` in #termux.

Wish I could find a way to edit my Org files with my phone easily. Until then, I still have to stick to Obsidian and writing Markdown files.

Getting Started • Zettelkasten Method

A Zettelkasten is a personal tool for thinking and writing that creates an interconnected web of thought. Its emphasis is on connection and not mere collection of ideas.

I'm too tired of choosing the next "DevSecOps" stack [1]. I've suffered enough of the "Shiny Object Syndrome" [2]. I'm closing my door, becoming a hermit, and starting to read some books instead.

Now I truly understand that being simple is not easy, but a hard choice to make.

Joining OSS discussions made me mind my etiquette and educate myself to ask better questions [1]. This, conveniently, benefits my (writing) communication at work.

My favourite quote:

"You will earn an answer, if you earn it, by asking a substantial, interesting, and thought-provoking question — one that implicitly contributes to the experience of the community rather than merely passively demanding knowledge from others."

How To Ask Questions The Smart Way

This Lemmy post summarised well my feeling toward "Shorts" trend.

I feel conflict whether I should continue using YouTube. So far it has been one of my top educational resources (just behind reading books). But recent recommendation results, YouTube Shorts—which I despise the whole 15-second video trend with passion, and this dirty trick [1] are really putting me off.
