i read a bit and boost a bit. thanks for all the great posts fine fedi-folks.

I didn’t think this needed to be said, but don’t make up conspiracy theories about Linux projects complying with the age verification laws. You’re frustrated like we all are, but you’re directing it at the party that has little power other than to implement it as minimally as possible.

Instead, contact the lawmakers that passed this without listening to groups such as the EFF, who warned them about how it affects platforms other than Apple and Google’s. There’s still time before the laws come into effect.

A.B. 1043’s Internet Age Gates Hurt Everyone

EFF has long warned against age-gating the internet. Such mandates strike at the foundation of the free and open internet. They create unnecessary and unconstitutional barriers for adults and young people to access information and express themselves online. They hurt small and open-source...

This is a big milestone! A lot of changes in V4 of @pi4j but the most important one is the move to #Java 25 and the new plugin using the Foreign Function and Memory (FFM) API. I have been talking about this at several conferences in the last 6 months, but it's finally here. A massive work done by the Pi4J core team to not only add the new plugin, but to improve the internal code, add a hardware smoke test, and much more! #JavaOnSingleBoardComputers just took a major step forward...!!!

Actions speak louder than words.

I am unable to install EU Login app in my phone because I use LineageOS and not the Google Spy Android.

Thus, I cannot use the double factor authentication, mandatory from the 25-02-2026 on unless I tell Google.

A frontal attack to our #privacy.

Stupid, no?

@EUCommission

This is truly glorious #AISlop from #Microslop in their "Introduction to Github" course.

I don't know why Tim is working in the opposite direction, but I can see that he never once "morges" his code back into develop, let alone doing it "continvoucly"

Update:

It looks as though after 4-5 months the page has been updated, but if you want to see the image in situ still then the way back machine has you covered.
