Hi, I'm Elliot, Editor-in-Chief of #Hackaday.

Hackaday's SuperCon is coming up, the season of new simple add-ons has begone. Time for a refresher on the pinout then :)

I took my lightning talk from last supercon and put it on my channel.

Getting ready to bring some Bendy SAO boards to @crashspaceLA tonight for a presentation with @alpenglow where well show off some fun PCB projects. Attached the SAOs to the SuperCon 2024 badge and it's giving strong Medusa vibes!

I'm on my way to the UK for the Open Hardware Summit. I'll be hosting Hardware Happy Hours in London (Cat & Mutton, Weds 28th) and Edinburgh (Old Bell Inn, Thurs 29th) and I'd love to see some of you!

Bring a hack to show off or just bring yourself :)

There will be lots of food and some drinks on offer in London thanks to @hackaday and @crowdsupply.

Come join us! Please share with London and Edinburgh hardware/hacker folks :)

Before my tooth got infected this week, I finished building a display frame for my @hackaday #supercon badge and SAOs: https://thzinc.com/2024/11/23/framed-display-for-my-sao-collection.html

I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out and I love having a piece of interactive art on the wall!

I had a great time at the Hackaday Superconference this year and collected a bunch of ShittySupercon Add-Ons for this...

Coming next week Monday on a new episode of @thebootloader: We chat about Hackaday's Supercon! @todbot was there and I've been catching up on the recorded talks - we'll share some of the ones we found interesting and maybe even some badge talk.

Find The Bootloader wherever you get your podcasts.

In case you missed my #zephyr workshop at #Hackaday #Supercon this weekend, the tutorial is available here: https://github.com/ShawnHymel/workshop-zephyr-device-driver

You just need an #ESP32 and an MCP9808 board—you can do the entire workshop at your own pace!

A short story about the generosity of strangers and making new friends at @hackaday #supercon

Hackaday Supercon 2024

I finally got a chance to sit down and reflect on this past weekend at Hackaday Supercon 2024. You might expect that a post about Supercon would be all about epic badge hacks, or a recap of interesting talks, or photos of the (surprisingly good for a conference) food that I ate 🌮 But what I really want to do is tell you a story of how the kindness and generosity of a bunch of random people made my first Supercon… well… SuperFUN!

My first time using a solder paste stencil has gone pretty well. The pads on these side emitting LEDs were so tiny, I knew I wouldn't be able to assemble them without one. The boards are part of an SAO design for SuperCon. If I haven't made any major mistakes, they'll be ready just in time.
@davedarko @hackaday and once again, thank you for your service. 🙏
