Often claimed to be the most scenic beach in Britain, this is Pedn Vounder, near Land's End in West Cornwall. It is possible to enjoy a short visit at low tide from the adjoining cove of Porthcurno, but he more usual access unfortunately involves a scramble down the steep granite cliffs. It's worth checking the local tide tables to time any visit to low tide when a sand bar forms. The aqua-marine colours can be incredibly stunning.
