The Longest Night

The daughter of a wealthy family is kidnapped and imprisoned underground in a custom-built, ventilated coffin while her family and the police search for her. But the battery that powers the ventilation is running out of juice and the ransom drop has been botched. This movie was originally shown as an ABC Movie of the Week on September 12, 1972. The story is based on the 1968 kidnapping of Barbara Mackle by Gary Krist.

Also, not one god damn feature in that thing is a subscription, and EVERYTHING is a button, knob, or switch! I can change ANYTHING within reach of the driver's seat without taking my eyes off the road!

Another perk of driving a shitbox...
Backed in to a pole one day when overwhelmed? Meh. Whatever.
Kid in the next parking space dinged it? Meh.
Ugly scratch? Eh, rattle cans are good enough.
As long as it's still car shaped, I don't stress too hard.

And... No car theif wants my not-remotely-new wagon. (though, they do want the PAIR of big ass cats... god damn it).

Just a tip from my own personal experience - being one of the best stress reduction financial choices I ever made...
Don't have a car loan. If you can get your hands on a car that is entirely yours, no matter how much of a fucking shitbox it is, do it.
Not stressing my car will be dragged away was a huge change.
My current car, a used wagon, was $5k at purchase, and $0/month. It will always be sitting there in the driveway no matter how poor or forgetful I am.

It's interesting how vastly different I feel about logos depending on what it is. (like the face my TV has TCL on it even when off) Not brand loyalty, even the PlayStation logo outside my gaming stuff would irk me.

But like KDE? Tux? Whatever Linux distro (Except Ubuntu and flavors. Fuck you guys)? Bash? Mastodon? Yes! Put them all over the place!

Holy fucking shit that pendulum better swing so far fucking left that misgendering my friends is punished by exhile, healthcare is free including preventative, UBI, mandatory vacation time, and walmart pays back all that snap bennies they benefit from.
The amount of pendulum swing needed to balance this shit out is insane!

I've seen a huge uptick in buggy #foss, at least among the software I use. Are y'all putting AI generated shit in it or something?!

"Huge uptick" = I usually had one or two minor annoyance bugs on my machines at any given time. Now I have 3 systems with unrelated show-stopping bugs that required convoluted work arounds, restoration from back up, or rollbacks to old versions. Shit that completely stops things from working.

If package nextcloud-client won't perform login, go to online accounts, add #Nextcloud there. Then go to Nextcloud-client and click login. It'll take you to the page to grant access.
