I’m a Computing Science student building web apps and browser tools using Linux , Python  and JavaScript .

I’m passionate about privacy, cybersecurity, software freedom and digital rights, and I contribute to open source when I can.

I'm currently involved in the vegan cause 🥬, I'm part of the LGBTQ+ community 🏳️‍🌈, and I enjoy music, movies, TV series, anime, and other nerdy stuff like RPGs. And I love cats 🐱💖

🚨 LinkedIn runs a silent browser scan on every Chrome user who visits the site. 6,222 extensions. ~405 million users affected. No consent, no disclosure, no mention in their privacy policy.

The scan identifies your sales tools, VPN, ad blocker, job search extensions, and extensions tied to religion, politics, and disability.

The full technical breakdown, legal analysis, and searchable database of every scanned extension:

LinkedIn Is Illegally Searching Your Computer

Microsoft is running one of the largest corporate espionage operations in modern history. Every time any of LinkedIn’s one billion users visits linkedin.com, hidden code searches their computer for installed software, collects the results, and transmits them to LinkedIn’s servers and to third-party companies including an American-Israeli cybersecurity firm. The user is never asked. Never told. LinkedIn’s privacy policy does not mention it. Because LinkedIn knows each user’s real name, employer, and job title, it is not searching anonymous visitors. It is searching identified people at identified companies. Millions of companies. Every day. All over the world.

I'm working on a YouTube mini series explaining the Fediverse!!

Who are the most knowledgeable people in this realm who I should definitely talk to?

What do you think is important to include in my series? I want to hear thoughts!!

LLM-bro: "Why do you still read whole books and type your excerpts by hand? That's so slow! You know that AI could tell you what's important much faster, right?"

Me: "Because I will always prefer understanding texts to just processing them. Also, I think being able to formulate a coherent argument without my laptop is increasingly becoming an asset."

That's so interesting.

📣 Why is the entire Fediverse not yet talking about the new documentary "Ghost In The Machine"?

> A feature documentary charting the untold origins of artificial intelligence. This is not a story about machines, it is a story about power.

Watch the trailer. Boost this post. Then go to their website for screening details.
