Strix nebulosa (great grey owl) is one of the most amazing creatures on our planet. They not only have excellent eyesight, like other owls, but also outstanding hearing. The Wandering Glider (Pantala flavescens) is the greatest distance flier among dragonflies. They've been found on every continent except Antarctica and sighted from ships hundreds of miles out at sea. When I see one it's usually flying far above my head. This photo is from August 2018, which is the only time I've ever seen a Wandering Glider sit still.
