IWD can feel kind of weird sometimes. I see it's normal in places like US/UK (or the parts where I've interacted with them) to congratulate or wish a happy day to a woman. Congrats on being not a male, I guess?
What disonates with me about it is that (IMO) IWD is more of a reminder that there's still work to do so that women are not at a disadvantage. That there's been progress towards it, but that's yet not good enough.
