I'm (not) sorry, but I sometimes cant help laugh a bit out of frustration when i hear/read things like "This is not America I know" or some form of this being new/sudden. I can't speak for all black and indigenous people, but for many of us this has been our reality for most if not our entire life.

It does have a lot more influence from Balkan and Slavic languages than other Romance languages, and among them, seems to be more closely related to Italian rather than Spanish, actually. How and why is that the case given its geographic position and cultural environment I still don't know though :(

Romanian is a Romance language (derived from Latin) just like Spanish, so they do sound pretty similar in some instances (some words and phrases even being the same in both, it seems)
