Lots of nature surrounding our poster Making Space for Nature at Healthy City Design Congress International in Liverpool. It was great to work with collaborators including Prof. Merideth Gattis & Dr Matluba Khan from Cardiff University on this project with Ysgol Pen Rhos in Llanelli.

See our project profile for this work here too: https://urban-habitats.com/portfolio/making-space-for-nature-community-co-design/

The UK Home Secretary says, ā€œThey mustn’t fear ending up in the dock for carrying out their duties.ā€ On the contrary police should absolutely be prepared to be scrutinised in the appropriate setting including court if applicable on the same basis as everyone else - not guilty until proven otherwise.

Surely professionalism in any role is precisely about using your skills in decisions that might affect other people’s lives, even life and death decisions: doctors, police, drivers, architects. You are required to be acutely aware of the balancing required and be prepared to justify your actions, in court if necessary. I hope any armed police officer who feels unable to do that hands in their permit.

I’ll be having my flu vaccine this Autumn, so why not Covid also? I managed to avoid Covid till January 2023 as far as I know and the impact of catching it has been material. Being self-employed I will take time off if ill but I’d rather mitigate that risk with a vaccine.

Why aren’t we all being offered an autumn Covid booster? We can’t let cost prevent us keeping Britain healthy.
