I decided to get my foldable keyboard out again. I so dislike typing on my phone. This at least has proper feedback and scissor keys.
Tried these. They're absolutely awful. bone dry, no flavour, look and feel synthetic. Ghastly product
The inside of the Nokia Lumia 800. It was tricky, but it came apart after all. funny to see all the hand written markings on the circuit boards and the armour plating of the components.
#vintage #tech #phoneSadly, my wife's old Nokia Lumia 800 did not survive being locked in the shed for 12 years. I still think Windows Phone was one of the most beautiful mobile OSs. Sadly it had Microsoft's marketing behind it.
I'm very happy with the new desk I built for myself.
#legoThis was an awesome lunch. A massive pork ramen bowl. But with Udon noodles as they're just better.
This book on coups seems to be very relevant again. It's a statistical analysis of what works an what doesn't. Highly recommended.
#africa #coupMy grandfathers pocket watch has this tiny selector inside. Do any of you know what it's for?
#askfedi #vintage #watchJust remembered I had a 105mm Macro lens lying around, gathering dust. Here's a detail of my bonsai tree. It seems to be thriving in my office, it gives a lot of new leaves and flowers.
I love my
#fountain #pen. At some point I got rid of all the other pens, convinced I only needed that one pen. Yeah no. Fountain pens don't travel well. So I bought a ballpoint/gel version of the same. And that's still tricky for extended travelling. It's not cheap, so I got afraid of damaging it. So I got the smaller cheaper version.
