Apologies for the long absence; life has been somewhat more upside down even than usual lately.
However, the crochet goes on.
I made a top for the Young'un which turned out pleasingly well and am currently finishing my first ever wall-hanging which will go in the emotional literacy room at the school where I work.
I enjoyed the actual piece itself enormously
Currently cursing my way around the ring, not enjoying that part *at all*. But I shall prevail!

A new project tonight for a bit of variety - I bought a pack of yarn from Aldi reduced to £2.99; I love the colours and wanted something that would work up quickly.
So a shawl seemed a good way of meeting both criteria.

Star shawl/lap blanket, made from recycled yarn (King Cole Epping Forest) and repurposed yarn from a jumper dress which Young'un decided she didn't want (the darker gold)
It's a bit repetitive to work on, inevitably, but the effect is pretty good

Good morning all!
Still under the duvet after risking a bottle of beer last night (lightweight), but I shoved a towels wash in when I made the tea and fed the cats so I'm calling that a decent start.
And it's not raining.
And I've got jumper sleeves to work on.
