Aug 2022: Essential poll for #TheVoice shows #VoteYes at 65% and #VoteNo at 35%, although 65% knew little to nothing about it. What went wrong?

The biggest factor was a well-funded, long-running disinformation campaign of fear.

Albo needs to:
1. Beef up his wet-lettuce misinformation laws to include traditional media.
2. Strengthen election laws.
3. Crack down on dark money
4. Fix the ABC.

The new paper says closer to 2.8 million Australians are either underemployed or out of work – equivalent to one-fifth of the current workforce. That new estimate is much higher than the official unemployment total of 539,700. #auspol

The Carnaby’s cockatoo (Ngoolark in Noongar language) "population is estimated to have decreased by between 50% and 80% over the past 45 years and continues to decline 4% each year. The main culprit is land-clearing and deforestation, which has seen more than 90% of their main foraging, breeding and roosting habitat disappear since European settlement...The Carnaby has been here for 10 to 20 million years."

Has logging native habitat ended?

Nah. Greater Glider habitat can be logged under VicForests’ ongoing “Forest Recovery Timber Utilisation Plan”

Survey work by VNPA citizen scientists revealed high densities of Australia’s largest gliding marsupial in scheduled logging areas in Wombat Forest.

The govt will only be serious about ending forest habitat destruction when they legislate our promised new national park
