Helping my friend set up Mastodon on his personal server. By helping I mean being useless because I don't typically do these things! He says the docker seems much more involved to setup than most docker installs he's done. Is there a simpler way? We might go to a cheap managed host if he can't figure it out. Cloudron looked simplistic enough, but it needs to be installed outside the docker container and he's looking for something to run within the docker.

@fleker I don't like it either. Especially since the instructions don't work. The other window I get is better as at least when you type in your username it takes you to your server where you can then interact the way you want to. These are definitely the types of things that will slow Mastodon adoption long term. #twittermigration
@fleker Half the time I get that window. The other half of the time I get an enter your username and instance and then it lets me follow through. I'm not sure if it's a bug or what.

@heatherwgaona Some servers are overloaded so posts and stuff may take time to show. Yesterday many servers were taking over an hour for posts or new follows to show up.
