Brutal.

When Microsoft acquired GitHub.

All the devs saying that Anthropic’s code quality is “normal” are telling on themselves and everybody they’ve worked with

(Also supports what many have been saying about software quality being a crisis that precedes LLMs, but that’s another story)

⚠️ Do not move your account to mastodon.cloud. If you know someone already on mastodon.cloud you might want to suggest they move to a different server.

-Mastodon.cloud's admin hasn't posted since Feb 2023
-There doesn't seem to be any moderation, really awful bigotry is still there months after being reported
-The server software is very outdated and full of unpatched security holes
-Because of all the above, many other servers have defederated mastodon.cloud

'This is the one we’re using, right?' he asked her boss. 'Oh no, that’s just something Meg did for talking purposes,' he replied. That line, especially, is burned into her memory."

For decades, its inventor has watched others take credit. That’s starting to change

@ferricoxide @briankrebs but what classes them as “business-grade”
Eg ISP says - I am giving all my consumers “business-grade” instead of “consumer-grade” routers.
@briankrebs What about “business-grade” routers?
