@ampanmdagaba I am learning Japanese and the rules around Kanji in general are usually of the form “This the rule, except for the 40% of the time that it’s not and you just have to memorise everything anyway” 😓

@williamstome I’m about 2/3 of the way through it myself and I can’t agree more. I’m recommending it to all my fellow engineers in industry: I’m sure many will scoff at the central premise but if it can get some of them to consider the potential harm in our work, then great: the world is maybe non-negligibly better.

#Introduction

Hi all. I’m a Software Engineer working on turning ML models into production systems in Fintech.

I was a PhD candidate at Queen’s University Belfast, and I successfully defended my thesis just back in September. Current job is all engineering / MLOps and no research but I want to keep on top of what’s happening.
