Me, who gets all information about the world from mastodon and nowhere else, sees people posting about a storm and also sees lake Michigan live account and the lake is calm: "well. The storm certainly isn't at Lake Michigan, that much I know"

My life continues . Perhaps the storm is in New York or perhaps in Europe. By process of elimination I can sherlock it out!

In paradise never I have a bunch of effects-- particles, smoke, and so on. They all kind of match in interface but for some reason all have totally separate code paths. I just added another one and when reworking everything it sort of finally stands out how repetitious it is and it is like refactoring threshold: crossed. And I know I must boil this down now.

Part of it is also seeing how they *partially* compose-- for instance some of them can pair a sound effect, &c. A refactor solves this too
