As a last post for the night here is a picture of a house I took last summer.

So sometimes writing is pure magic and other times, like with Dunkelosteous jaws, it can fall a bit short.
I read in a book that Dunkelosteous (so?) was a scary fish with powerful jaws. However at he Drumheller dino museum they have a fossil of those jaws and how shit mack is Dunkelosteous ever truly and yes a scary fish with huge powerful jaws..I think about these jaws whenever I read about Dunkelosteous and about how you sometimes can't get a real sense by reading. These are scary pair of jaws.
Good writing is a thing to behold, maybe the purest human magic-- storytelling. Think about it.
I have to say also that as somebody who likes to make up and also write stories, it is amazing to read stories by some authors and the level of creative envisioning they do is so bonkers off the charts. Like this Henry James novel-- this is not the only author who I cannot even begin to fathom how he is able to tie these things togeth, but he is one!

Like I personally think I could get up and if I was in the right mood tell say a ghost story that was funny at least TO ME-- and that might be also interesting or maybe even a bit funny for someone else to watch.

Is there a narration improv night as a thing in a city somewhr like maybe the city I live in? Like come and make up a ghost story? At Dickens pub? Calgary?

Think about comedy, stand up comedy. Are there artists working in that field who expressly DO NOT PREPARE? I guess that is improv-- but do stand-up comedians ever do a set where it's pure improv? It feels sometimes like Andy Kaufman was improving based on just a (precalculated) idea-- though Andy Kaufman is nothing if not pure enigma so who is to say?
