This is how much space we need to power all Australia with solar.
Yes, the little black dot.
While 6000 km² isn't insignificant, most of that could be done using rooftop solar. We will also have wind power, and the rest could be Agrivoltaics (solar designed to work in tandem with farming)
And all for the price of one submarine.

Last week I went snowboarding in Zell am See, Austria, which is always a spectacular experience. However, this year got me worried. The first thing I noticed was, the lake was not frozen as usual. The pistes were warmer than I have ever experienced. I went to the top of Schmittenhöhe, and I kid you not: I saw butterflies. Your read that right: Newly hatched butterflies at 2000 meters in february. It felt surreal.
If climate change is a hoax, I can report, the butterflies are in on it.

Here's the full set of answers. As you can see, responses could change dramatically when driving was mentioned. All except Question 2 were hugely statistically different.

This doesn't make sense! The principle is the same in both forms of each question; only context changes 6/14

@RARohde and when it IS the warmest year ever observed, the denialistas will claim "it's weather, can't you see the difference between climate and weather?" or "The Medieval Warming Period was warmer, so it is not the warmest ever".
@malewis @GeraldKutney do you really think that “natural climate variability” “explains” climate changes before mankind?
@malewis @strum @GeraldKutney
O, we do know! Quite accurately, in fact.
@hausfath this is not very alarming, is it? A 10% increase in precip would hardly be noticeable. Classifications light/medium/heavy goes in jumps of hundreds of percents…
Ffs
