My year in review: In March, I gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. While on parental leave, I published 1 co-ed. book, 1 co-ed. special issue & 2 journal articles in top-tier outlets. I pushed (too) hard at times because of the pressures of academia for women & the fear of a "gap" in the CV as a mother. Time will tell if these sacrifices were worth it... @communicationscholars @sociology @genderpolitics @academicchatter
