The powerful X9 flare that erupted on the Sun at 12:18UTC yesterday has resulted in a big coronal mass ejection (CME) coming our way 🌞💥💨🌍

Combined with another CME, predictions are for a G3 (strong) geomagnetic storm arriving in the October 4-6 window, with good chances of aurorae – fingers crossed for good weather 🤞
