@philpem Ah - that makes sense.

This is F/UTP - unshielded pairs with a foil shield and drain wire.

Possibly a silly question but what am I to do with the shield tab in this RJ45 module? Just wrap the drain wire around it?

Searching around for an example but not finding anything.

@philpem You might have better luck with an rtlsdr and listening for signals on the amateur repeater.

Nothing more disappointing than going to a repo for a project you like and seeing the mark of shame. *le sigh*

Only one commit in this case but still, disappointing.

Victory! Maybe. The new network cable has made it all the way upstairs, via under the house for some reason. I haven't tested it yet but... I'm sure it's fine :-)
Spotted the first bee of the year! Starting to feel a bit like spring at last.
Trying to put in a new network cable in the house and starting to think whomever originally wired this place up was a fan of M.C. Escher.
@emf That was fast!
@mossmann Would this help with the phase noise issues mentioned here? https://github.com/greatscottgadgets/hackrf/issues/889

The SCART connector has many problems, but I forgive them all for it helping keep the horror that is S-Video from becoming widespread in Europe.

Is it going in the right way? Almost impossible to tell by feel.

Is the socket just tight or am I bending all the pins? Yes!
