Anyone able to identify this IC from a small 12V AC light? The B924A1 code isn't turning anything up for me. I'm assuming it's some kind of constant current driver.

Hoping to modify it to run on a lower DC voltage.

@fsphil Do you have a picture of the whole circuit board? Might be able to figure out what it is in context.

@fsphil B924A1 is a constant current driver IC. You'll see it being used to drive LEDs, probably as in this case, but also some measurement devices where exact reference isn't critical

PT4115 is a very similar device, and you can probably use it interchangeably (it's also more available outside of China/Taiwan)

@cypnk @fsphil I reckon you're right this is very similar part, but may be a incompatible size?

PT4115 is SOT89-5 (4mm long, flat legs, exposed pad) but I think the package in the photo might be SOT23-5 (2.9mm long, legs bend down).

Hard to tell without a measurement though.
