This stone is a bit of a mystery. It stands in a field between Whithorn and Glasserton and isn't marked on any maps, or included in the archaeological record. Not close enough to the road to be a milestone or way-marker, or to the parish boundary to mark that. It could be ancient or equally a 19/20th century cattle rub.
