Mark Connolly moved to @Why can’t we have nice things? Sometimes it’s because of badly behaved people. The extravagant Hallowe’en display that’s delighted folks of all ages in the Mary-Allen neighbourhood of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada for a decade is no more. David and Dennis are wonderful people. They deserved better.
@jacklaridian If anyone has ever exemplified why writers are supposed to "show, not tell" it would be Flanagan. He is horrendous. Tedious, boring and unemotional. I've watched several of his series from start to finish and it's all the same: slow, tedious dialogue serving as exposition before the volume is cranked up 300% to create a "jump scare." Not to mention he loves to grab famous authors' titles and then destroy the stories. There is nothing redeeming.
No one can actually think Mike Flanagan is a competent writer, right? This is clearly some sort of joke.
