You might think your city is cool, but it isn't playing The Lost Boys (1987) with a guest appearance by Tim Cappello singing and playing "I Still Believe" at the boardwalk in the rain with fog machines and candles for free cool.
HAHAHAHAH I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY I'M SURPRISED.
In this fragile, pathetic, censored to hell and back world, the UI on #Instagram is now modified to disallow even FOLLOWING the #horror hashtag.
Damn, y'all really woulda been really shocked at the shit on LiveJournal, Tumblr, et. al. back in the day.
There's a reason I know what eating cereal out of an asshole looks like. Fuck you.
Sidney is beyond fucking Bored to Death with this one.
Welp, unfortunately Hellraiser (1987) left me #BoredtoDeath ⚰️
This is a classic that gets torn to shreds by the fangs of modern scrutiny, I'm afraid 👻
Alien (1979) and An American Werewolf in London (1981) still have creatures that look like full-bodied apparitions captured in 4K, so this isn't a time thing.
I have no fucking clue what the movie was trying to say. I wanted an existentialist hellscape like The Midnight Meat Train (2008) but I couldn't even make it through. 💀
The new protagonists are boring & Florence Pugh is now the archetype of the current year antihero #FinalGirl.
Not unlike her nap-making performance in the fucking abysmal #Midsommar (2019), #Malevolent (2018) is recycled lifeless garbage featuring an equally disengaged Pugh-face.
No screams because there is nothing to save. No risk, no reward. No life, no death. Just ... atomized bodies, drifting through time and space. Reacting.
There is nothing less terrifying. I am fucking #BoredtoDeath ⚰️
30 Days of Night (2007)
An underrated #vampire classic IMO, to bleach the taste of the last film from my mouth... 🤢
Verónica (2017), a #horror #film from Paco Plaza, is a must-watch. It’s more of a strange coming-of-age drama that masterfully depicts the weight death has on life. And the cinematography is gorgeous 🥀 🪦 🌑
The problem?
About 20 extraneous minutes with secondary characters. It slowed down the pace, didn’t build tension, develop relationships or break your heart with a death.
You must be ruthless with the economy of language and emotion. 🩸
Unfortunately, Sidney is still #BoredtoDeath ⚰️
#CurrentlyWatching #horror film Verónica (2017) and so far it is oozing buckets of delightful green charm and I can't lap up enough of this gunky slime 🧪
The entire cast is phenomenal but our #FinalGirl performance by Sandra Escacena is 🩸 🩸 🩸 🔪 🔪 🔪
This one has a great chance of reviving me from being #BoredtoDeath 🧟♀️
