Between "Rocky Mountain High" being used as the prototypal "Song of Death" in the Final Destination franchise, and "Take Me Home, Country Roads" showing up in Alien: Covenant, I'm kind of hoping that John Denver-sploitation will eventually become a well-established horror trope across a variety of subgenres.
