#thisweek in #coppiceworking i learned how to fell trees with an axe. the pic shows the largest one i have felled so far.

i have feels about this work. it's enriching - we are protecting the woodland ecosystems and their futures - and i feel sad 'hurting' the trees which have brought me safety and protection all these years.

i also feel grateful to still be alive to be able to follow this retraining call, and for the instructors & fellow students. & proud of myself for bravely regrowing *me*.

since i'm in UK, where we didn't get to see the blood moon lunar eclipse happening in realtime, i have thoroughly enjoyed seeing everyone's photos today.
