@IPngNetworks I look forward to having a go with this one bud :)
@IPngNetworks that’s weirdly close to
@tdp_org curl ip.me. Save your fingers.
@Viss Debian 13 goes GA next week. Very new everything including kernel 6.12. Might be worth a shot. (the iso is already frozen, so its basically released already)
@ricci @jtk I shut one down with an 11 year uptime just after Covid. One of those “I’m not proud of that, but really I am proud of it”

@jtk @ricci I used to run Cat 5505s and 6509-Es for many years. Honestly the 6509E was probably the most reliable box I ever had the pleasure to use even now.

When the apocalypse happens it’ll be cockroaches and 6509s left.

@jtk @ricci I am voting 5513.

Same amount of fan inlets on the 6509 and the 5513 I believe (same physical size?) but the 5513 was higher density with thinner cards.

Also seems like the supervisor is in the top slot vs the 6509 that required you to install the sup in slot 5/6 (near the bottom)

@zekjur I have a terrible feeling I will be heading down a rabbit hole with this one.

Many colleagues of mine rave about nix and last two times I tried, it was a mess. Thanks for taking the time to write this up.

@IPngNetworks Hugops to you and the team. Thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. 😂

@IPngNetworks totally agree.

I think the greatest value I would find is the functional testing and to help with topology design/validation.

Clab is really nice for building replica for topologies and I did _a lot_ of the pre-sales verification of SRL using that and that alone.

Even now we have the ability to re-create almost a full likeness of our entire DC, then do pre and post tests before touching anything in the estate.

As you know already, I’m a hyoooooge fan
