Adulthood is just cycling between "If I don't say yes to every opportunity, no new opportunities will ever be offered to me" and "Oh no, I have said yes to too many things" over and over until you die.
This spoon makes kinda a shit table tbh
I love your recipes Mr J Kenji Lopez-Alt really I do but every time I make your "easy weeknight chili" I am reminded that we live lives that give us very different amounts of time and energy on weekday evenings

We chuckle when Scotty picks up a mouse and tries talking to the computer in Star Trek IV, but imagine travelling forward in time from the 90s and realizing they got rid of the fucking scrollbars
IS THIS ANYTHING

Idly wondering how folks who are deep into personal web archiving (i.e. keeping full clones of pages or sites they've bookmarked) handle sharing those snapshots with friends or the general public, especially in this age of abusive bot scrapers.

Guessing the answer is "keep it all behind lock and key, and deal with the friction that represents on both ends"? Maybe some form of ephemeral/unguessable/unlisted sharing URL? (and obviously, bespoke tactics like Anubis.)

I'm putting the cart before the horse here, obviously, as I don't even have ArchiveBox or w/e set up yet 😅
