It is not kind. You may well be insulted by it. If you are... then you really should question yourself.
That's not my post, but it might as well be.
The people running the largest tech companies see us as commodities to be bought and sold, nameless "resources" that weigh on the bottom line.
It's essential that we remember that software engineering is about *solving problems*—the code is merely a byproduct. That's the real value we bring, and the industry would do well to remember that.
