Corporations Can Vote in Some Delaware Elections, Judge Says (1)

Corporations, partnerships, trusts, limited liability companies, and other “artificial entities” have the right to vote in Delaware elections under some circumstances, a judge said in a novel ruling Tuesday.

This is a violation of our democracy, as when business owners are able to gain an extra vote though their corporation, it creates an adverse inbalance of votes.

Keep our democracy safe, corporations shouldn't get an extra vote. (4/4)

It has been interpreted to not have any discriminatory bias in the votes of Delaware.
This has concerns from Exclusively Woke, as when the state of Delaware has "more corporations than people," (Bloomberg) it shows a real possibility that corporations and legal may vote in elections. (3/4)
This is not a one off situation, where corporations can vote, as other towns in the state allow them to vote if they own property in the area. The judge ruled that while the election clause of Delaware states "All elections shall be ⁠free and equal," (Reuters) (2/4)
Judge Craig A Karsnitz of Delaware ruled the town of Fenwick Island was not diluting human votes by allowing companies that own property to vote in local elections. The ACLU sued the town, as they claimed it violated the elections clause of the state. (1/4)
