Linux, Wikipedia, Mastodon. All of them built by strange, intrinsically motivated people.

All of them are full of problems and flaws that are hard and maybe impossible to fix.

But at the end of the day, these things help us and keep the wonders of the Internet alive, because they come out of a deep understanding that humanity needs giving more than taking.

If someone is installing the latest version of #Mastodon, you should use #Ruby version 3.0.4, instead of 3.0.3 as indicated in the official documentation: https://docs.joinmastodon.org/admin/install/

Still resisting by not using the heaters. This night was -3 C and the room was still over 18 C the whole night. I live in a building in Berlin built in 1932, before the German dictatorship, so not the best thermal isolation possible. That's the minimum I can do. #StandWithUkraine #fuckputin
