she/her asexual.
not good at many things.

Abled people find it hard to believe how many people are actually disabled, vulnerable, mentally ill, or have chronic pain and impairment that requires ongoing medication or other treatment because they think of themselves as "normal" and "the default" and assume other people are faking.

It's a pretty common story, the same as every other dominant group looking askance at the marginalized and asking why they can't just bootstrap themselves out of the problem.

Even as they make it worse.

Aw yeah ban teens from social media but make it legal for them to work the night shift in the cold chopping room at the meat-chopping factory.

These kids will hate us all forever and we will deserve it.

The active shooter drills, failing to protect trans teens, taking their damn phones, burning their books and sending them to the factory. Fail fail fail fail fail.

pro tip: it's not about the money. It never is.
"Means testing" is about order

@isleofmandan @canleaf they posted an article a while back titled "we're being pressured into sex by some trans women" with the contents being about what you'd expect. they didn't include any trans people in the article but they did heavily (and uncritically) quote an admitted rapist who days later went on to publicly call for the lynching of trans people. they also still haven't apologised iirc.

that's the main thing people refer to, at least.

"Adopting rightwing policies on issues such as immigration and the economy does not help centre-left parties win votes, according to new analysis of European electoral and polling data."

"..the analysis shows that centre-left parties promising, for example, to be tough on immigration or public spending are unlikely to attract potential voters on the right, and risk alienating existing progressive supporters."

Will they cut this shit then?

This is how government legitimacy drains away, by making immoral rules that decent people refuse to follow.

Because #Substack doesn't allow sex workers to post anything "pornographic" means they've decided that there absolutely is a line that cannot be crossed on their platform and they have now said OUT LOUD that literal Nazis do not cross that line.

Un-fucking-believable.

@RickiTarr for sure transitioning. in a sense it's made my life a lot harder but it's also made my life into... my life. drifting through existence as somebody else was no life at all.

I'm naturally a very uncertain person, there are very few decisions I've made that I can say absolutely were correct, but that's one of them.

@LRRRonEarth I mean the cybertruck would be the most ironic, especially if it was on autopilot, but there's incredible comedy to be found in the idea of 'Elon Musk Falls In Hole, Dies'
