My #Wikipedia request for comment just closed, finally banning #AI content in articles! "The use of LLMs to generate or rewrite article content is prohibited"

Kudos to all who participated in writing the guideline (especially Kowal2701) and the whole WikiProject AI Cleanup team, this was very much a group effort!

@sgharms @grahamperrin that'sonly going to continue working until more of their tools are binary only. I believe that's happening rn.

@erincandescent @cwebber I'm finding their code reviews at work pretty darn en pointe.

If I could only train an LLM on a subset of the internet and not need to screw over a population of people to do it heh

@cwebber @erincandescent right, now it's time to focus on avoiding people poisoning training data and prompting.

I'm much more worried about code being merged that introduces subtle back doors that the LLM judges as "safe".

(And I'm not talking about it without seeing it actively being used like this right now, fwiw.)

@Cr_Sky lol

should i buy you chocolates as a treat? :p

@Cr_Sky oh sky, heh 😜
@gabrielesvelto @agowa338 are the raptor lake crashes the known big/little cache /tlb bugs that got fixed later?

New to FreeBSD and not sure where to start? You’re not alone.

In this second video of the series, I'm walking through the FreeBSD Foundation's Getting Started page.

On this page, you’ll find:
— The official FreeBSD Handbook
— Installation guides for desktops and virtual machines
— Step-by-step written walkthroughs for common setup options
— Links to community spaces: forums, Discord, Reddit, and LinkedIn

I am so glad I got the opportunity to grow up in an age where there were no restrictions on what I could do with computers I could access.

Personally I consider any attempt to remove that access from anyone as abhorrent. It is a core part of who I am.

people (eg chromium and it's javascript engine) literally do this tho?

(and it breaks all kinds of other stuff too, big VM space isn't cheap)
