German Theologian, mystic and lover of language learning/learning in general.

I post in English and German (mostly English, it seems). What you can expect: stories, quotes and insights that changed my view of myself, other people, the world and god hopefully to the better; thought experiments on the future of AI; insights about learning in general.

I need a home starting 15 July within 50km of Cologne for 2 adults and 1 cat.

We are both over 40 years old, quiet, and non-smokers.

@threetails I would say there might be more than one set of eyes to open. Not everything at once, but certainly at the end of a process there can be a moment of revelation, slowly fed over time. And then comes the long process of embodiment of the realization, until we get stuck again. In the end, we might end up where we startet, and be able to say: 'So be it as it is.' And begin all over again. Not even in a clear order. Ever shifting lenses.
@threetails I am not a buddhist, but maybe this could be helpful for you:
If you are ready to let all of your life go, you might already be very close to being enlightened. It's maybe just one flip of perspective away.
If you can't accept this life and this suffering and yourself, maybe you can accept your non-acceptance. And if you can't do that, you might be able to accept even that - and so forth. There is a point of acceptance somewhere on this path.

I said it before but:

I really believe that with the rise of #AI we need dorky people more than ever. We need niche special interests. We need specialized academic fields.

We need knowledge like the person's on Insta who keeps pointing out that AI generated images of Cambrian fossils are clearly fake, because the crustacean shell has the wrong number of little bumps.

We need people like the witchy person who likes fiber arts so much they learned how to shear sheep and process wool themselves.

@threetails Best of luck!

I repeat my suggestion to actively find worthy human creators before the slob becomes indistinguishable. Youtube is clearly preparing to transfer step by step to a pure AI plattform:

Who knows what the next Google I/O will bring in regards to video models, especially now that it becomes more important for robotics.
While you might sometimes have to question human integrity, AI channels don't care about anything but views.
Maybe have a look at nebula.tv.

@threetails Wunderbar!
